Our Training Philosophy: Real People, in Real time… Thorough, High Resolution, Complete.
Online classes with The Voice Over Coach are private, live classes that take place over the internet via Skype. Students are connected to a live instructor the whole time during the classes, where they have the ability to address concerns in a real-time learning environment, one-on-one with Michael Minetree.
Each class is customized to each students’ individual needs, and are not cookie cutter classes.
Here are some promises we can make.
- We see all of our students as individuals and treat them as such.
- We are never too busy for you.
- We are never rushing to get to the next client.
- We are never short with you during the session.
- You and your time are what is most important, not our precious schedule.
- We will never try to sell you extra goodies or services just because you took a class.
- The only thing you will be paying for and receiving is personal, one-on-one coaching.
Every person looking to learn more about voice over or studio design possesses different needs and should be taught in a way they can understand and comprehend, by a coach willing to teach them in a personal and customized style at a pace they can interpret. What they don’t need to do is sit down on the phone, or in a room full of people they don’t know while they’re bombarded with a parade of cliches and catchy, made up Tony Robbins-esque power phrases. The later is NOT how you learn the craft of voice over.
This is why we do not have form-fit lessons, classes or seminars that we can and attempt to sell to people. It is also why we do not ply our wares in hotel conference rooms across the nation. It simply is not how you learn to perform this craft.
How do our online classes work?
Unless otherwise stated, all of our online classes are 90 minutes long.
At a students scheduled time, they connect with the studio via Skype and the class time begins. Depending on the class and whether or not the student is taking voice over lessons, topics are covered in a variety of ways. We use live examples, audio samples and other means to teach the classes. For most of the studio design classes topics are introduced until all subject matter is covered.
Students who have had a voice over evaluation will have a better understanding of how voice over lessons are conducted and how we are as coaches.
As a student in any one of the classes we offer, you are free to ask about any and all concerns regarding the topic being addressed. These classes aren’t where you sit back and listen to us pontificate about voice over. They are fully interactive classes between you and the coach. Each topic is followed with a Q and A session until all topics are covered and completely understood. Below you will find a list of classes we currently offer online.
Please note:
Unless you have a pretty open schedule and don’t need to set a specific time, do not pay for any classes without first consulting the studio. Anyone with rigid scheduling concerns should give us a call before signing up. Once you have consulted the studio as to which class you are interested in taking and we have agreed on a scheduled time, you can continue to our Secure Online Transaction Gateway to pay for your class.
Also, please note there are day and evening class times – so we will be able to work it into your schedule.
